About the Sweetheart Dance Team

Welcome to the Sweetheart Dance Team

The Sweetheart Dance Team of Centennial High School was established in the fall of 2003, comprising 36 charter members, 2 managers, and 1 Director. Our commitment to quality is unwavering, and our members exemplify true leadership qualities. As a Sweetheart, one not only learns the art of being a fabulous dancer and performer but also acquires valuable skills in problem-solving, teamwork, the pursuit of perfection, cultivating grace, and forming lifelong friendships. It truly embodies the essence of a team sport.

The Sweethearts dazzle audiences with their performances at all varsity football game half-times, athletic events, pep rallies, as well as various community and school events. Furthermore, the Sweethearts actively participate in regional and national spring contests, earning numerous awards for their exceptional displays. This recognition has allowed the Sweethearts the unique opportunity to perform and participate in unique venues such as The 2023 Texas Association of School Boards Convention, the Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleader's Half Time performance, and the Imagination Studios at Disney World. Additionally, the Sweethearts have ventured to San Antonio, Orlando, and New York to engage in dance competitions and clinics.

Each year concludes with the Sweethearts presenting a Spring Show, showcasing a diverse range of routines including those from the football season, contest season, and introducing new routines such as Guy/Girl, Parents, Squads, Classes, and New Members.

In addition to their performance commitments, the Sweethearts have actively engaged in various community service projects throughout the school year. This includes collecting donations for local charities, extending warm welcomes to the troops in collaboration with the USO, volunteering at the Victoria Nursing Home, and assisting the Frisco Family Services.

As the Sweetheart Dance Team celebrates its twenty-first year, we are proud to announce that the 2023-2024 team consists of 29 line members and 3 managers.

Join us in celebrating our love for dance and the camaraderie that makes the Sweethearts a team like no other.

Centennial Sweetheart Booster Club

2024-2025

The Sweetheart Dance Team is very fortunate to have an active and thriving Booster Club. The Booster Club's function is to help boost the morale and spirit of the Sweetheart Dance Team and help raise funds to offset the cost of operations, seasonal expenses, and social events. In addition to this, the CSBC hosts several socials such as the Family Kick Off, Mother-Sweetheart Tea, and a Spring Banquet.

Please consider membership and participation in the Sweetheart Dance Team's Booster Club. You will find that the opportunity you receive to spend this time and these experiences with your child are priceless! We hope to see you be an integral part of your child's memories in our organization. Contact Mrs. Gonzalez for more information.
